Sophie Conaghan

Sophie is a Chartered Accountant. After training in Audit she jumped into the world of tech startups in 2013 when she joined as the founding finance person at Lovecrafts. At Lovecrafts she led the finance function for 6 years as the business expanded to £20m in annual revenue and secured Series A,B and a $33m Series C round. During her time as a FinOps Lead at RORA she increased the number of Founders that she worked with in a single week and has now worked in-house as the Number 1 in Finance for over 10 years, working directly with Founders and the C-teams of tech startups. She spends half her week working with the Exec team at CharlieHR supporting revenue and EBITDA growth and developing internal processes and reporting. She is passionate about making finance accessible to non-finance people and also spends time partnering with VCs and accelerators to run Finance for Founders workshops alongside her part-time in-house roles.
