David Brown

Dr. David Brown is an Associate Professor of Finance in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. David's research has been published in the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics and the Review of Finance and was recognized with the 2018 TIAA Paul A. Samuelson Award for Outstanding Scholarly Writing on Lifelong Financial Security. His research has also been featured by the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Forbes, Consumer Reports, Money Digest and ValueWalk. David teaches financial modeling at the graduate and undergraduate levels, was a finalist in the 2016 ModelOff Financial Modeling World Championships, and has been featured multiple times in Excel Esports on ESPN. He is the founder of the Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge and a Microsoft Excel MVP.
