Nelesh Patel

Nelesh started his career at KPMG on their Graduate Training programme, predominantly working in Public Sector Audit. He qualified and then had several secondments in due diligence, M&A, and Advisory. Realizing he needed a break from Practice, he spent a year as a Financial Accountant at Housing 21 but found the pace a bit slow. In 2013, he joined Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in Accounting and has been fortunate to work in various roles, including Business Assurance, Global Purchasing Finance, and on several Global Expansion Projects delivering SAP.

In 2020, Nelesh joined Bridgestone to lead the UK & Ireland Business Strategy and Transformation team. This experience was fantastic and eye-opening, as he worked outside of Finance to implement significant strategic and operational transformation initiatives within a highly challenging and competitive market.

He rejoined JLR last year and now leads the Finance Process & Data team within the Finance Transformation Organisation. The scope and influence of his team are growing every day, representing the finance organization in the Enterprise-Wide Transformation Programme, including the SAP S/4 deployment, while driving the "always on transformation" of critical BAU processes.

More importantly, Nelesh has a young family that keeps him super busy, along with tropical fish and two guinea pigs. When he finds some spare time, he enjoys running, loves driving cars (especially JLR vehicles), and reading.
